Paul told Timothy "I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."What we do with what we have been given is a part of our stewartship and responsibility.Stewardship is not just about finances, but we have stewardship over all that we have been given. We have been given hope, and should be good stewards of that hope.Times will come when we might not see God acting, but it is our hope that will substain us through those times. Our hope is not tied in what we see,but in whom we believe.
We have all experienced the tension which comes with the waiting and the promise. We wait but it is not always with patiences, for the promised healing, financial relief, companionship, comfort or even the answers to our many questions and prayers. There seems to always be a war waged between where we are and where God desires for us to be.God's balance and grace in our lives is that there is always a way of escape. There is always grace and wisdom awaiting us the moment we ask.God does not allow our afflictions to exceed the measure of grace and faith given,it is always proportionate to what we know and what we are called to do.God tells us to focus on that we don't see,for the unseen is eternal. God has given us hope, which is the anchor of our souls. An anchor stablizes, keeping the vessel from being tossed to and fro by the wind and waves.God's hope keeps us stable and unmovable, during the storms of our life. Our hope is not in the world or the pleasures of this world, so the world does not settle or unsettle us. It really plays no part in our joy and happiness because it is not the source of our hope.
Our hope lies in the truth and promises of God's word. The righteous wait upon the Lord,we walk in His statues, we live by His commands, follow His precepts and we stand on his promises.Jesus Christ our hope from the Lord and the anchor to our soul..
