Psalms 34:3 " O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together."
" And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." here we have the promise from our Lord and savior Jesus the Christ, if we will lift Him up from the earth, it will draw all men unto Him. Just to lift Him and it will draw. Now it can't just be a word of lifting, no we live in a seeing is believing world, so we must lift Him in the way we live our daily life.
In our text today the Psalmist ask us to magnify the Lord with Him. Now understand to magnify is to make larger, that it might be seen clearer. So the writer is asking us to lift up the Lord with Him in our walk and our talk. He wants us to show the Lord to a dying world in our actions, to live a life of praise. He says let us exalt Him , or praise and glorify the Lord by living a life which is pleasing to the Lord. Let your walk say hallelujah, let the world see the glory to His name in each of your steps. Let the activity of your limbs shout I love the Lord while His mercy flows from your heart. Let your light so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify the Lord God and seek His salvation.
What would the world truly look like if all who professed the Lord would lift Him up in our living and giving, our walk and our talk. If we all came together with a singleness of mind and purpose of heart to show a mean world the love of a holy and righteous God? Let us start with the person we see in the mirror and see if lifting up the Lord is truly contagious. Lift Him Up!
