Believing Is Seeing

John 12:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

We live in a seeing is believing world, yet we are to win them over to a believing is seeing way of life. We as Christians walk by faith, but the world we are trying to lead to salvation, walks by sight. They wander in a dark wilderness, believing only what it sees, and  sometimes they even question what they see. We have been called out of darkness to be the light upon a hill that they might see our good works and glorify God in heaven.

Here in our text Lazarus was dead and the people doubted that Jesus could call him back to life. Jesus tells Mary if she would only believe, then she could see the glory of the Lord. We too only need to believe and we can see the glory of the Lord. When we believe we to can see the power of good raise a dead soul to a new life in Christ through the power of our testimony and they truth of our witness. We must believe that His word can do what He says. We must believe and walk in the new life we have been called to live. We must believe that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. We must believe that Jesus rose with all power in His hands, and that He has power over all flesh. We must believe in the power of God unto salvation.

Our witness can be hindered when our believing is in doubt. When we doubt that that God's word alone can convict and convert the hearts of all who hears it, as the gates of Hell will not prevail against it, our testimony is not believed. Our witness must also be accompanied by our living testimony, to the truth and power of God's word. It is when we believe that we can see the power of God unto salvation...
