Matthew 15:8 "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Out of the heart flows the issues of life. the heart is the soil to which the seeds of life are planted. If you plant the things of God, out of the heart will flow the fruit of the spirit. But if the seed is evil then it will produce the things of the flesh. we must protect the boarders of our heart from anything that defiles or contaminates the good seed.
Keeping our hearts clean, guarded, and protected is one of the most challenging aspects of our faith and life. too often out of our hearts come evil thoughts and deeds, because we let too much of that stuff in. It is difficult for us to grasp god's heart of love, His heart which looked upon His perfect Son, then looked upon sinful man and willingly made a sacrifice of the righteous for the unrighteous. When we see the heart of Jesus, who loved us and gave Himself for us , we see the heart of God. If we want to understand and develop the heart of God, it will come through study of the scripture, prayer, confessing our sins, hating sin and total surrendering our will to God's will.
When we come to know the heart of God we will begin to serve people as we worship God. We will devote our entire life to do His will, serve His purpose, and love all that He died to save in spite of and without respecter of person. When will draw nigh to God He will draw nigh unto you.
