Colossians 3:23" And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; "
We are citizens of two natures, we are both a physical and a spiritual being. This often times causes a war within as to who we are and what we are to do. See there is a physical man who looks for a self gratification, and then there is the spiritual man who only wants to bring glory to God. There is a war within.
As we embark upon this holy journey we must remember the words of our Lord and savior, that we must deny ourselves daily, take up our cross and follow Him. See we must always remember this walk is not about us, who we are, what we have, or anything else. We are on a journey that is solely about Jesus the Christ and Him crucified. The things we do should bring glory to God as it should elevate the love God has shared with a lost world. When at work, we must work as servants of the Lord, that lost employees might see the light of God within us. When in our marriage we must show the love, patience, and compassion of God, that our spouse and children might see the love of God within us. In all that we do we must do it as though we are doing it for the Lord that the world at all times will see the love of God within those who profess to be His.
The word of God tells us to let our light so shine before man, that they might see our good work and glorify the Lord. It is a wonderful thing to tell the world about Gods love, but think about how great it would be if the world could see the Love God has for them. Remember we are servants of the Lord, and in Him is our reward.
