You Do Have A Choice

Joshua 24:15 " and if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord,Choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood,or the gods of the Amorites,in whom land ye dwell:but as for me and my house,we will serve the Lord."

We were born in a life where we didn't have any part in a lot that was chosen for us.It is said to be a life of choice, but much of our life we really had no choice or say so in.Most of what stands before us when we come in this world, we had no choice or played no part in the decisions made which dealt us the hand we are left to play.

We had no choice in being born, or who our parents were.We didn't have a say as to who would be our siblings, if we will be raised in a wealthy or poor family, or our nationality.There is so much we deal with daily that we had no choice in,many circustances we come from we were put in without or consent or knowledge.But we are not bound by the choices that lay before us,or that were made for us, we are bound by the choices we make.Man is born in sin and shaped in iniquity,really through no fault of his own.Long before you or I was even thought of, situations had already taken place to make that choice for us.But thanks be to God even though that is a choice before us, it is not a choice we have to live with.As Joshua asked the children of Israel,we too have a chance to make a choice,a choice that will have a great influence over our life.We can choose life or we can choose death.

True there is much we have to deal with that we didn't have a choice in, but we do have the choice as if we will stay in those situations or circiumstances or not.Salvation is a personal thing,and we can choose to accept the free gift from God, or we can choose to turn it away.This is a choice we have,but it is a choice we must make every moment of everyday.Will we serve the true and living God or will we continue in the ways of this world.You have a choice,choose this day whom you will be a servant to..
