Power: It's InThe Word!

Ecclesiastes 8:4 "Where the word of a king is,there is power.and who may say unto him,what doest thou"?

Kings were rulers with absolute power in Solomon's day. We may be glad that we are not under the bondage of any absolute monarch,but enjoy the blessings of a constitutional government.God alone is rightfully sovereign without limit.He is King in the most absolute sense; and so it should be;for he alone is good, wise, just , holy, and worthy.He is the creator and maker of all things,he has infinite power to carry out his royal will.His word is creating,as all things arose out of nothing;his word is perserving by which all things abide;his word is destroying, by which he will shake the earth.His word is prerogative by which he kills and makes alive, and it's everlasting, who can stand in his word without trembling adoration.

In all we do we must respect the King's word.Churches should own Christ's headship, obey his laws and acknowledge no other lawgiver.We must look nowhere else for power,and rely on the word of our King as the instrument of power, when ever we seek to do work in His name.We must preach it,for nothing else can break a hard heart and produce holiness.We must plead it in prayer,for the Lord will surley keep his own promises and put forth his power to make them good.Receive it in our mind and heart;for where divine truth is treasured, there will be a wealth of spiritual power.Practice it, for an obedient life is full of power.His word gathers congragations,converts sinners to saints, perserves order in the Churches. It instructs, edify, santify and feeds the saints.Love, joy, peace and every grace is sweetened by the word.Believe in the word of King Jesus, and be bold to defend it.

No langusge stirs us like the word of God.The word of God does me like no other word can.It melts me to tears, it humbles me in the dust,it fires me with enthusiasm,it feels me with felicity,and it elevates me to  holiness.It sweetens my memory,it brightens my hope, it stimulates my imagination it directs my judgment, it commans my will, and it cheers my heart.The word of God is my source of Power in this evil world.All who are born of the spirit  know the life giving power of the word, for we live by it.it has the power to keep us from sin,for when hide it in our hearts, we might not sin against God.His word cannot fail,it shall not return void; it shall prosper.So if you find your words falling to the ground and not producing fruit, it only proves that they were not the words of our King....
